At
present there is no proposal under consideration of the Government for
abolishing the Planning Commission. This was stated in a written reply
in Rajya Sabha today by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for
Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation and Minister of State
for Defence, Shri Rao Inderjit Singh.
